After the new national standard becomes stricter, which functions of the old charging pile control board must be locally backed up and cannot rely solely on the cloud?

The new national standard has pushed the time limit for security response to milliseconds, leaving no time for the cloud to intervene. The old control board must be equipped with local backup capabilities, with a focus on three types of functions.

Category 1: Safety actions must be hard shut down locally

  • The response time requirements for overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and leakage are all within 1 second, and leakage is even compressed to 30 milliseconds. This time window is simply too late for network transmission and platform decision-making. So these protections must be directly completed by the local hardware comparator and relay driver of the control board, and the software only records and reports, and cannot hand over the "uninterrupted" to the cloud.

  • Leakage is particularly critical. The new national standard requires 6mA DC leakage monitoring, which must be cut off within 0.1 seconds. This relies on the independent operation of the local leakage protection hardware circuit, not calculated from the cloud. If the old control board still uses AC 30mA and software judgment, this line of defense will be lost when the network is disconnected.

Category 2: Fault self inspection cannot be outsourced

  • Contactor adhesion detection requires a local run every time the charging is completed to confirm that the relay is truly disconnected. If it sticks, a fault will be reported and the next start will be prohibited. The high voltage interlock and gun lock linkage are the same. In case of abnormality, residual high voltage is released within 1 second, and the triggering condition comes from the physical state of the gun end and relay, which cannot be seen or managed in the cloud.

  • Dual channel redundant sampling is also a local matter. If a single operational amplifier is broken, the board must still be able to safely shut down, and redundancy judgment must be completed in real-time at the board level.

Category 3: Basic operation cannot be stopped when the network is disconnected

  • The new national standard requires basic operation to be maintained during network failures, and local scheduled charging should be allowed when the network is disconnected, without direct shutdown. The control board must have offline authorization capability locally, which can be used for card swiping, plug and charge, and local whitelist; When RTC is running independently, it triggers timed charging as usual after network disconnection; The charging record is stored locally and will be uploaded after recovery.

  • If the old control board is designed to require network authentication every time it is charged, and refuse charging when the network is disconnected, then it is no longer compliant.

Summary in one sentence:

Security protection, fault self inspection, and network disconnection and recharging must be independently guarded locally. Cloud can manage policies, billing, and operations, but the last 100 milliseconds of security actions are not on the cloud, but on the board. Upgrading the old control board requires first adding local hard shutdown, independent leakage detection, contactor self inspection, and offline operation capabilities, which are the defense lines that are still on duty when the network is disconnected.
