OTA push requires cooperation from the original platform, while local burning requires disassembly and use of professional tools. Mutual mTLS is more complicated, as the certificate chain is missing and the middle CA handshake fails directly, with the log only showing 'connection timeout'.
Extended fields:
The OCPP standard only defines basic messages, and platforms often add private fields.
Platform A requires ConnectorTemperature, while Platform B requires PowerFactorL3. The motherboard firmware does not reserve these fields, resulting in mismatched data formats, backend anomalies, or billing errors after switching platforms.
When hardware replacement is necessary:
1.6J motherboard hard on 2.0.1 platform, Flash/RAM insufficient (requires starting at 512KB/128KB);
Secure chip binding platform A's private key cannot be exported due to burning;
4G module APN and IP whitelist are locked and cannot be reconfigured.
Procurement avoidance:
Confirm that Flash/RAM supports 2.0.1 reserved space; The certificate is stored in an erasable area; Provide OTA or local flashing tools.
Before signing the contract, the interoperability test report of the target platform is required, don't believe it is "theoretically supported".
Conclusion:
'Any platform' is a marketing slogan. 90% firmware flashing solution, 10% hardware replacement or return to factory. Climbing mountains depends on the openness of manufacturers, not on hardware performance.
